B&K and B&W - do they play well?

Hi,

Would really appreciate your comments on this. I am looking to set up a good 2 channel system and have just bought a B&K Reference 5 S2 Pre and Reference 200.2 power amp without much thought to replace my existing Denon.

I am considering buying B&W DM703s with this setup. Will the amp work well with these speakers? (the amp is rated 225wpc and has good current capability).

I used B&K with my 703's then my 803's. The B&K had no issues driving either of these speakers and had very good sound quality. Sound was similar to my new Krell setup except with some loss of detail. For the money, B&K is hard to beat.

Thanks for the tip. Today I have joined the club - got the DM704s however, the 703s seemed over kill for the listening area that I've got. The initial impression seems to be promising. Now to wait for a week, to get them burned in...
