    Hello B&W owners.

I took the plunge and bought a set of B&W's 703 (black ash) to enjoy my music even more.

What's there to say other then i'm awaiting for it to arive.

Does this come with concerns ?

Yes some slight ones like the receiver and what not....

I allready know that this is going to be a very big expensive hobby ?
But i'm willing to pay up for it as long im listening to my favorite music.

But all will have to come in time...

All im considering right now is the right reciever (AV)

(other not important right now is : Will i need a Sub)

Im thinking on buying the Marantz - SR-8001
I have no idea if that's going to be a good choise.
But i do know it's gonne be better then were i came from in the audio and even Video section this time around.

Anyway's im excited, and that's what counts :T

But then again a see all these Rotels hooked up to the B&W's makes me wonder...

A nice big fat 2 channel Rotel.... i dunno....

On sub, it depends on the genre' of music you like to listen to. I have a pair of N804 and listen to classic rock/blues. I bought an ASW800 sub and it added a deminsion I was missing with the N804. Glad I did it. Listen for yourself but don't settle for a cheap sub.

          Congratulations on those 703!
I would add 2 subs...I'm a bass freak, and it does add dimension and life to the Music and HT, if you are into that.
If your ears like the sound of Rotel ,which by the way go fantastic with the b&W 703 ,as I had that combo two years ago ,and I was In heaven then, especially with HT..WOW! Then Go for it!!
          Cheers

That thing looks cheap and plastic... plus it's only for the US and not my country... but ey it's not even made in the US as they state.

Nah im sorry... but that's not what im looking for.

It will eather be a Marantz AV or a Rotel 2 channel 200 watt stereo.

Havn't looked into Denon yet.. but there price is way over the top to get there best.

I have Rotel RCD-1072, RC-1070, and RB-1080 200W amp with my 703 and have really enjoyed the combination. I haven't been able to compare it to other options much, but after the initial break-in, the tweeters have smoothed out and I'm really happy. If that's price range you are looking at, I say go for it, but then again, everyone will tell you that you need to let your ears be the judge.

Mike, seeing as you're new to the forum, you're not going to win over a lot of friends being so critical on obviously very high-end equipment.

Yeah, but the McIntosh @ $3500 retail is quite more pricey compared to a Rotel 2 Channel. More along the lines of Classe.
