I have 800Ds with a Mark Levinson 320S preamp, and CAM/350s Mono's. Has anyone compared the CAM/350s to the New Delta CAM/400s? Any comments on the comparison? Also, What about Classe Monos vs Mark Levenson 436 Monos?
Classe 350/CAMS vs Classe Delta vs ML?

Viper,
I can't give you a direct answer to your query, but I can answer in general terms to the upgrade you are contemplating as I made a similary jump recently.
I switched from a ML 432 (2 x 350 watts) to a pair of mono's ML 436's. Was it worth all the trouble. Did I hear big differences. I can't relly say that mountains moved. There was an ever so slight perception of some difference. Would I do it over. NO definitely not.
However your question is whether to step in to a new model over the old classic. Mine was between 2 new models. Will you hear a difference. Probably ever so slight. Will it be worth the effort. Do you need to keep up with the latest tech.
To Answer your question about 436's they are great and easily show detail at low volumes. Beautiful timbre. Now if you want to be aligned in all ML and since you have the 320s (I've got the 326s) that IS a real reason to change. I'm a firm believer in identity in sound. The ML sound is the finest for me and to have ALL ML or ALL Classe or ALL MC or ALL Krell or ALL Rotel then we get in to indentity in sound.
Identifiable earmarks in timbre, tonality, refinement in build. Krell is brighter, Classe is warm (so Im told) ML is refined power with detail easy listening. I tired faster with a Krell FPBCX or Rotel than with ML. McIntosh has a lot of similarties to ML IMHO.
My point is that I am a firm believer in keeping it all the same brand. The designers of Pass Labs, or Krell Evolution, or McIntosh, ML or Classe designed and listen to their equipment with their equipment. This means they've aligned the sound to work with each other.
Any change in this "order" is an personal influence taken on by you (us) and will have consequences. Perhaps for the better in the type of sound you are searching for, but I personally think you can't do better than their designers have come up with.
I am referring to mostly the AMP and PREAMP relationship. In my system that relationship also goes to the CD player.
Think of your HIFI like a soup. You can order soup made from the finest chef in France and be served at the table or you can buy the ingredients and make it at home. If you're are a good cook, you can add a little more pepper (changing to another brand) or you can go with the chef.- Bottom

by beden1I have been auditioning amps to improve my two channel system. At the Classe, B&W and McIntosh dealer, unfortunately, the dealer's 803Ds were damaged, and I (had to) listen to the 800Ds instead (these are great speakers). They were using a Meridian pre-pro.
I listened to the Classe...-

I have a chance...-

by beden1I have been looking into upgrading the amps for my main 803Ds. These speakers do require some decent power.
I am currently using a Classe CAV-150 (6 channels X 150 watts), that I had set-up for bi-amping my front three speakers. Recently, I changed to connecting my five speakers through...-

With a pair of 802D's on the way (they've been...-
