    How about 803s front L&R and 804s rear L&R and the HTM-1 or HTM-2 for center with Sub ASW 855 ,and run it with your Rotel 1098 as your processor, and Rotel 1095 as an Amp in 5x200w per channel...That could be your cure!!!!

    Because of FST HTM-7 does not make a good combo with 703 and 804 and 803 as they would have FST in their drivers so HTM-7 has got to go as they don't match well.

    If you can afford the 800 series GO FOR it !!!!! They are amazing for Music, stereo, HT and Multichannel SACD and DVD-A listening!!!

    since you have 703 then get either the 804s or 803s for the front..I prefer 803s I must say!! Keep 703 as rear duty and get a NEW center.. that is a MUST!!!! How about the sub my friend??

    Keep us posted as to what you have decided!!

    Cheers!!

      I have the 703's, and before looking at upgrading your main speakers, I would definitely look to adding a sub woofer. I added the B&W ASW 750 and found that the 703s have very strong capabilities when matched with a quality sub.

      Since you'll need to add a sub at some point anyway, you may find that you will save money in the long run with not having to upgrade your 703s IMO.

        If you're focused on HT, I'd skip the 7 series, and get what you can in the 8 series instead, adding piecemeal until you have a complete set, including sub.

          @chinets,

          sorry but the htm7 is not a good macht with the 703? for the FST system in the 703?

          First upgrade main speakers = 804s or 803s and center = htm3s is no a good como????

          (sub is in my room SURE = 2 x 750 and plasma is a Pioneer 427)

          Thanks style

            Yes, You got it right!! The HTM7 does not compliment the 703 or 804s or 803s because the Midrange does nor have FST, therefore the sound will not match the same tone and sound plus the HTM7 IMHO sounds BOXY!!!!

            To save money have the 804s front L&R and 703 as rear duty and get a SUB the ASW 825 for starters. Your center should be the HTM3s as it has FST in it's Midrange drivers. The HTM4 does not. If you can get a used HTM1 even better ,and you'll save a bundle. To me the center HTM1 is the best I have ever heard ,besides the ASW 855 which I have.

            If you are going to splurge then 803s front L&R and keep your 703 as rear duty or get the 804s if you have extera cash. Center either HTM3s or HTM1 as they both have FST to compliment the FST of the 703,804s or 803s and get a sub: ASW 750 minimum, or the ASW 825 better and will compliment those 703 well ,or Best the ASW 855 if you go 800 series all around!!!!! Get 2 of those Subs like I have and you'll understand Bass Nirvana Heaven!!

            Enjoy your hunting and keep us posted on what you have decided on.

                @chinets,

                Sorry but the 703 are 9 mon. old :E ,
                I wont sure invest in new main but not (dream 803D) ..> 804s in CH =
                chf. 6700 ($ 5350ca.) and a new center htm4s ($ 1900ca.) minus 10/15%max .i find is a good solution -> 804s l&r - hmt4s (sorry for my better als htm3s no FST) and 703 or cdm7nt raer is not a super set but not a ugly set or ?!
                My room ist 10meter lang x 5meter but 50% is for my HT system i find is better a rmb1095 (example) buy in this is all "from the ame mesure)

                OK, 803D l&r HTM2d and 4x 804s - sub 2x 825/855 is (in moment only a dreams)

                --------
                Dynaudio Focus 200 l&r . c220 center, 4x140 is too a beautiful set (sound &
                quality product)
                -----------

                Velodyne spl1000R x2 is not a bed solution / the B&W750 are very good
                sub combination ---> dd serie in Europe is really expensive = dd12 is the same price from 2 x750 ca.!!!!)

                  If it helps to confuse things more, I just snagged a BEAUTIFUL HTM1 off AudiogoN for $1,300. They seem to run in the $1,200 - $1,600 range. I'm using it with my 804s and couldn't be happier. Good luck...

                      Just trying to illustrate that for the same msrp as a HTM4 ($1,300 USD), you can get into an HTM1 which is essentially an HTM3.

                      I primarily a 2-chan guy but I did want a matching center for my 804s. I was just having a real hard time writing a $2,500 check for something I use maybe 20% of the time.

                      I got real lucky with the one I got. I can't tell that it is not new and it even came in the matching rosenut finish I wanted. Good luck on your quest!
