Bouns room too small for 800D???

    I bought a new house and the bonus room is 15' W X 14'4" L X 9' H

I currently have th 800D and the HTM2D and I also want to put in a projector screen, any suggestions?

    Thanks

Just to get things started, I have read a few threads on this forum where guys with the big 800s have them is fairly small rooms. It may just take a little more tuning to get things sounding right.

Thinking in 2 dimensions your room is only 20 sq ft smaller than mine, but then I run 804s with a 10inch sub. Probably of more concern is the fact that the room is almost square - mine is much longer than it is wide and it has bits going in and out (like open hallways, 3/4 high walls and the like). Square rooms and bass are a bit of an issue, which may well be why you are asking the question about your room. Someone with a litte more experience at tuning rooms may have some suggestions re bass traps, carpet and the like.

My system (with projector) is set up facing across the sort axis of the room so from the perspective of room size you should be fine.

What A Difference The Room Makes
      by Pio
My family and I just moved to a new home. I set up my 802's in the main living room which is open on one side to a smaller living room and a family / theater room on the other.

I thought the layout would be detrimental to the sound - boy was I wrong!

800D and VLT but what about HT?
      by MikeS
I was really into audio gear in the 1970s (yes, I'm old) and was able to try many tube components of the era from Marantz, Mac, early ARC and more. My last set-up was a Marantz 8B amp (fantastic highs), Mac C22 pre-amp (good highs, mediocre bass) with 15" JBL woofers, Altec drivers/horns and ElectroVoice...

Still Debating Whether to Upgrade to 800d's.
      by Stockinv
I've had the 802d's for about 2 years. My room is about 19 feet square and open to the rear. The sloping ceilings are 9-11 feet. I'm using McIntosh
MC-501 monoblocks and an Aragon Stage I pre/pro. I don't think the acoustics are very good in the room. Would I benefit from moving up to the...

My family room which is my getaway and only a decent substitute for a dedicated home theater, even though it has a much high WAF, has an issue that I am curious to know if and how it affects the rest of you.

This room is about 22 X 22 with an entrance that is about 4 feet wide with no...

      800D with Mcintosh 501's
      by Stockinv
I currently have 802D speakers. I'm thinking about upgrading to the 800D's.
Would my Mcintosh 501 amps be sufficient for the upgraded speakers?
My room is about 19 feet square and open at the rear, with 10 foot ceilings.
