    800D binding posts

Anyone out there with the 800Ds had any problems with the binding posts being too smooth to grip the spades from your speaker cables??

I am using Chord Signature with spades and they keep slipping out - I have only finger tightened them so far - I dont want to get a pair of Mole grips on them to overtighten.

I haven't had a problem though they are a little slick to grip. Just make sure your hands are nice and squeaky clean and you'll have no problems. :P

By the way, I would only hand tighten. It's much too risky putting anything else next to the delicate finish.

Thanks Mate - I tried with very clean hands and it was better, then I tried my wifes rubber gloves and this gave a better grip still - now there is no movement.

What you need to do is these: First lose both bolts (on the same binding post), then put your spades in and tighten the big bolt, when it is very tight you are ready to tight the upper one, that way the upper bolt works as a security bolt and no matter wich cable you use, it gets very solid!

Stupid question, how to connect spades to the WBT 5 way binding post?
          by LED14
          Hello,
I have a Classe Cap2100 amp and I'm trying to figure how to connect spade terminated cable to it?
I can unscrew a part of the binding post but it won't disconnect and I can't see where I shod stick the spade in...?

          Spades to fit Rotel?
          by probeski
As far as i know Rotel accepts 5/16" spades. I am thinking of getting Cardas Golden Reference Speaker Cables with cardas spades which can be either 1/4" or 9mm (designed for the typical oversized european binding post). Will the 1077 work with cardas spades or will i have to get bananas;...

          Binding posts
          by Rolex
Who makes really good binding posts that are not ridiculously expensive? I'm building a pair of stand mount speakers right now. I'm putting a lot of effort into the veneer, the finish, and the level of detail to get what I want. I've looked at numerous different binding posts before but none have...

          Binding posts or terminal cups?
          by snmhanson
Are there any obvious (or not so obvious) reasons that make it preferable to go with binding posts over terminal cups or vice versa? Aesthetically, I think terminal cups are a kind of cool solution, but they do require another rather large hole in the speakers which just gives me one more chance to...

I broke my 802D binding post!
          by Aldo
Last week I broke the red binding post on my 802D, after a big web search I found a replacement with the original maker, WBT.
I even got better binding posts, the same that came with the 800, Platinum coted! I had to change the eight binding posts with a criping technich that need some special...
