Help with Subwoofer settings with Nautilus speakers

    Hi All,

I'm new to this forum, so a big hello!

I'm setting up a HT system with the followinh stuff- Nautilus 802s for main L+R. Nautilus HTM1 for the centre and Nautilus SCM1 for the rear L&R. I'm also using Lexicon MC12 Balanced for the pre-amp. For subs, I'm using a pair of Velodyne DDS12 for Main L+R.

Can anyone help with what crossover settings I use for the speakers so that I get the best from the system?

    Many thanks

    SM

What is the freq rating of the 802s? I have my B&W ASW800 sub Xover set at 50 Hz; my N804 mains freq response goes down to 45 Hz. A small overlap. I suggest a 5-10 Hz overlap between sub & mains.

Thanks for your input. The specs for the 802 say they go down to 38Hz +/- 2dB.

I should have mentioned that the Lexicon processor does the digital crossovers for the speakers so the L/R are already filtered at the chosen frequencies. The crossover settings are by-passed on the subs.

How do I deal with this?

        Hello...

We all love the powerful low low Lf that we get from our sub(s) for movies. I'd like to know if any of you folks change your sub settings when you go to DVD music and CD's?

I was messing around with my sub settings (2-ch w/sub using Lexicon's X-over)...

        Choosing Crossover Freq. ??
        by ruffwood
I have a question about chosing the crossover freq. for a two way crossover. I am using 2 Goldwood 8" 4 ohm woofers (FR 45-7000 Hz) in series and a Dayton 1" titanium tweeter (FR 3000-20000 Hz). Sort of following David Weems design in "Great Sound Stereo Speaker Manual" project 11....

Hi, I recently purchased a HSU STF-2 subwoofer to go with my stereo bedroom system comprised of a Rotel RA-01 amp and DM600 S3 bookshelf speakers. I'm wondering if you guys have any advise as to what to set the sub's crossover to.

B&W has the following specs for my 600's:

DVI settings, Plasmas, DVD players, (Bravo D1?)
        by Chris D
        Guys-

Maybe you can help me. I recently got a Bravo D1 player from V Inc. to send DVD video over DVI-D at 1080i to my plasma monitor. I'm just having some occasional display problems when viewing the DVI signal at 720p or 1080i. The only resolution I can get the Bravo player to put out...
