What poweramp for 802?

Hi

My homecinema :
- Denon AVC-A1SE
- N-HTM2
- N-805
- N-SCM1
- ASW800 Sub

My NEW homecinema after starting to upgrade some:
- Denon AVC-A1SE
- N-HTM2
NEW - N-802
- N-SCM1
NEW - ASW850 Sub

As you can see I now need to add a poweramp for my setup for the 802's.

Anyone here with good knowledge of what amp that is a good match with the 802?

Note: This is 802, not 802D. I bought them used.

So many choices - it all depends on budget of course..

Two relatively cost effective options to consider are the Rotel RB-1092 - which delivers 600W into 8 ohm and 1200W into 4 ohm and will satisfy the older 802's love of power at a very reasonable pricesss.. The other is forum sponsor Nuforce Ref 9.02 - not quote so powerful but soooooo clean...

If you have lots more $ there are thing slike the big Classe M-400s but welll thats more than you paid for the 802 by a fair bit!

I am looking for a powerful amp that's not to expensive. Is the soundquality in the Rotel good enough to justify it for 802?

FWIW - I used the Bryston 7B SST with my 802s, and now with my new 800Ds and it has never run out of steam.

The Rotel is no slouch by any means. It won't be as refined as a higher-end amp, but you will still enjoy the 802s regardless.

You didn't state an exact budget, so it's hard to suggest anything specific. My dad has 802s with a Pass X250 and it does an excellent job (it has replaced a Levinson 333 in the same system). You can find one used for around $2500 or so.
