    Pre Amp for N801's

    I need a recommendation for a 2 channel SS preamp. I am driving a pair of N801's powered by a pair of Bryston 7B ST's. I currently have a tube preamp with vintage 1959 and 1963 Amperex PQ Pinched Waist and PQ White label tubes. I love this preamp but would like something with a remote and phono stage. My source is either an AH! Njoe Tjob CD player or a Benchmark DAC1 (and a Rotel tuner).

    What are your thoughts? I have not thought about price range yet.

      In a few months I will be buying a preamp and have been considering the Ayre K-1xe. The only conflict I have is possibly buying a preamp that is also a room conditioner like the TacT preamp.

      I don't have the greatest space and feel I could benefit from a preamp that can measure the room...
