    Here's a riveting post for a Friday morning...Divorce settlement reached...

    Sitting here thinking of all the unnecessary bickering that has gone on - finances, dogs, house, etc. But of all the 'big' things that the final settlement agreement details, there is only mention of three household items. Only two paintings and the stereo stuff are listed... She gets the two paintings and I get the stereo equipment. All else will be amicably determined between us.

    In the end, none of it really matters, but I would have missed these things a lot.

    I guess that's good... Though it would be interesting to see a wife want the stereo equipment in a settlement (and not out of spite). (;

      Wow. The bar for "B&W related" has been lowered.

        What are the details of your equipment setup?

          Bummer about the divorce.

          She probably outsmarted you - stereo equipment loses value with time,
          good art increases in value. You can always buy new stereo equipment.

          What about CD's and LP's? For me that is where the real value is. . .

          Think twice before you do this again. A very high end stereo is in most cases much cheaper than a wife.

            "stereo equipment loses value with time, good art increases in value" ......I would rather listen to some good music on my stereo than stare at the paintings on our wall

              But if the ex got the old stereo, he would have to buy a new upgraded one

                On a more humorous note in a really sad thread (divorce is never nice), if my ex wanted the hi-fi, I will rather chop it into little piece than have her new boyfriend use it, irrespective of current or future value!
