      Hello,
I would be careful buying on the Internet, there are a lot of scams out there and some are quite slick about how they get to you. There are however legitimate sellers but they will be all used units, B&W does not allow or offer Internet sales of their product by their dealers, so be aware of this. Also do not believe anyone who states that the warranty is transferable because it is not.
Another problem with buying over the net is that shipping carriers are usually not kind with B&W's, the factory packaging is really not sufficient for common carrier. Looking at these options it may be better to buy from a reputable dealer, you will have a warranty, plus the service and advice that they will provide down the road.

        That's an average deal

        giau,

That's an average to fair deal for new 804S speakers, at least in the US (12.5% discount).
Your probably not going to find a much better deal unless you’re willing to get used from somewhere like audiogon.

Unless you plan on buying more equipment at the sametime from that dealer you’ll have limited bargaining leverage as B&W speakers are not a commodity product.

There are tons and tons of folks claiming to sell hi-end speakers on the web and people are willing to spend just because they think they've got an amazing deal.

Western Union = perfect for SCAM!!! Why, because the moment you send th emoney through Western Union, it's GONE! You cannot get it back - period!

Can you give people your location - it will help as B&W dealers can't sell out of state or they loose their B&W rights...

Since you're in Orange County, try the Sound Factor in Pasadena. Speak to Duke, the manager. He'll beat that price.

Sorry about all these attack of the threads.. but as you guys noticed that I make alot of threads when the decision time comes..

I guess warranty is what I'm looking at and seems to me that the 804S is exactly the same in specs as the 803S just that the 803S has a bigger cabinet, .5"...

I just got my B&W 804S speakers yesterday. Funny how I came around to selecting them. Here's my story....

I've had B&W 602.5 / B&W LCR60 / B&W 600 for my system for about a year and a half and wanted to upgrade (don't we all). I researched the internet, read posts here,...

                      I'm sold.....! :B

No seriously, I've been very anxious to try the 600 vs 800 series back-to-back. More specifically the the 683 and 804S since they're similar size/design/driver arrangement to get the most fair comparison of the quality of the 600 to the 800 series. I don't think it...

                      by wywong
                      Hi
I am looking to upgrade my speaker to 804S and HTM4 using the Rotel RMB1075/RSP1068 to drive it. I normally listen to CD (bypass mode) and DVD concert music. Anyone know whether he rotel rmn 1075 can drive the 804S. I also have a REL 201 sub in my system. When I listen to the 804S speaker...

                      MC501s for 804S rears?
                      by jack d
I don't know if this is going to sound totally nuts but here goes:

I just recently upgraded to three MC501s for my 802Ds and HTM1D. I was driving the 802Ds with an MC402 which I now use with my rear 804S speakers. I'm extremelly happy with the sound improvement up front compared to the...
