Not to be blasphemous, but just had to share. Just called my dealer and ordered a pair of B&W 804Ss and a Rotel RCD-1072. I'm upgrading from a pair of DM603 S3s and a Rotel RCD-971. Can't wait!

Sorry, didn't mean to crow (well maybe just a little bit). The 603s are very much in need of a new home. They're 16 months old, in the sorento finish, have custom risers I made (adds about 3.5" to the height), and in "as new" condition. Drop me a note and I can send pics.BluespowerComment

Have seen a few people here over the years have upgraded (?) from RCD971 to 1070, but nowhere are there any conclusions that I can find.
My problem is that my 971 is experiencing the laser faults that seemed to plague some of the Rotel CD players of that vintage.... -
