Need help with my new 804S

    Hello,

I just purchased my new 804s, but have a hard time to figure out how to connect my speaker cables. I found clear plastic caps al over my speaker connectors. How do I remove them without damaging my speakers ?

    Thank you

Congrats on your purchase. The binding posts on the 804s can accept either spade, banana, flex pins or bare wire. Do not remove the plastic cap. Just unscrew to make room for your wire. If using banana plugs you will need to remove the red 'plugs' in the middle of the binding caps.

I have never removed mine but it has been discussed in thsi forum recently. From what I recall, loosen the binding caps (uscrew) and using needle nose pliers pull them out. You may try searching the site fro the definitive answer to the question. Good luck. Also, I feel it would be worth the time, effort & $$$ to bi-wire your 804s.

I just pulled those caps out a few days ago. it's a pain. I used the very advanced method of sliding my fingernail between the cap and the binding post. Hurt, but it works.

Yep, removed them completely. Some of the plugs came out easily. Others.... ugh!
