I've read some threads where people say you need a lot of Amp to drive the 802D's. I have the Kav 3250 and 2250 which rates very conservatively at 250 watts a channel. I will be biwire and I am not looking to "blow the roof off". I prefer lower listening levels, CD and DVD's. If you have this setup what is your experience please.
Anyone using Kav 3250, 2250 driving 802D's

I have N802's not the new 802D's powered by the Krell Kav3250 and they sound wonderful, great sound stage and I love the bass. I have listened to the 802Ds powered by one one the 350W Krells and they sounded very good but my room is so small I don't think the upgrade price is worth for me. Hope this helps!- Bottom

I have the 3250 and the 2250. I was going to use the 2250 for the 802D's. Both the 3250 and the 2250 have a 2000 Watt toroidal transformer to use so I can probably get a little more if I need out of the 2250. I'm glad you report that you love the bass. I think I will be happy. I'll report back when they are here. thanks- Bottom

by misterdoggyWell I've put together a dream system hopefully, C1 Halo, with 2 Krell Amps 3250 and 2250, with B&W ASW825, Htm3s, 804s (fronts) 805s surrounds, all with Nordost Solar wind. I'm switching out of Rotel 1098 with rb1090 to make a step up hopefully. I am new to be a member and live in France, but look...-

by donaldwThis is my first post. After years in remission, dipping my toe in by upgrading to HD has reactivated my upgraditis! I'm looking to replace my old Def Techs with (probably) 802Ds or (possibly) 800Ds, for improved music capability (the BP2000s are great for movies). This will require upgrading my...-

by devaioHi all!
I'm a bit of a newbie in the Audiophile world so apologies for my crude description of my listening experience but here goes.
I have just purchased a Halo A23 to drive my dynaudio focus 220's. Out of the box my heart sank as I found the sound way too bright for my liking...-

by KEFLast night my wife and I went to see one of my favorite female vocalists, Norah Jones at the Orpheum Theater in Boston. We had very good front row, center stage balcony tickets; our seats were directly in line with where Norah sat while playing piano.
This is my attempt to compare what...-

by JKalmanI'm slowly building up my surround setup and I'm trying to decide whether to go with 802Ds on the rear channels (I currently have 2 already) for the purpose of matching the sound for surround, or moving the 802Ds I have to the real channels and purchasing 800Ds for the front L/R channels. I plan on...-
