Does anyone know anything about the Nautilus line being discontinued and B&W just moving forward with the 800 series? I'm curious because I was thinking about buying some N805's, which retail for $2000. That's about the maximum I could put out right now. The 805s retails for $2500 and that's out of my league. When probing my local dealer, he said the N805's are now more, that they won't be shipping or selling...that it's been replaced by an 805se I believe....and it's $2500. Is this correct? I just want to know b/c if that's the case, I may have just been priced out by B&W. I guess there's always used.

Hmph. That's a bummer. Why do you think B&W still has that whole series up on their site...complete with specifications, models, photo library, etc. Seems a little misleading. Shouldn't it now be in the back catalogue sections for discontinued items?Comment

I'm sure they still have some inventory around the world...well, at least a while back they did. They keep them on there for a while. I would imagine till ALL of them are sold.Comment

The dealers need to exhaust not only their new in box merchandise but there on floor demos which may take a while longer to sell.Comment

I have had a set of Nautilus 805's that I bought new about a year ago, my buddy got a set of 805S's and thought we would do a side by side comparsion of the two one day. We had everything hooked up to a Classe CA-201 amp, HK AVR520 pre-amp, Denon DVD-1920 dvd-player, and Rotel RCC-1055 CD changer all... -

I'm currently using a pair of 600 S3 speakers as temporary rears for watching HT. I am thinking about getting a pair of DS6/DS3 to wall mount, but I can't compare which series, S3 or S4, matches the Nautilus series better. Is there anyone out there who's combining the 'old' Nautilus series with the new 800 series?
The reason I ask is because I'm not sure wether to opt for a pair of N804 or 805S to hook up next to my Nautilus HTM2 ('old series'). I know the ideal match would be a pair of N805, but reading... -
I am putting the htm2 speaker in with this review because it is the only center that matches these speakers.
The 805 is the cheapest of the Nautilus speakers, if you do not include a stand in the price. When I brought these speakers home initially, I didnt really have very high hopes....
