Given approximately the same price ($3,500 or less), what other speakers are highly regarded besides the B&W 804's that I should consider?

If your looking at the current 804 and not the new 804s, you should be able to find a new pair from a dealer for much less. I recently bought a pair for $2800. I couldn't pass them up at that price.HerbComment

Hi,
As you can see I am pretty new here, but not new to B&W speakers since I owned a couple of these (p6, 601s3). I also listend (dreweled) enough at the 804/802/800 in my audio shops. Since i didnt feel the 804 was worth the investment over my old p6 I never got them.
