I plan on investing in the new 805s and was wondering what the best finish would be as related to resale ease and value. Any assistance is appreciated.

Here in the States, I noticed the red cherry is among the highly sought color for used Nautilus speakers. Check out eBay.com and Audiogon.com just as a reference.
I recently shopped for demo'd or used B&W Nautilus 802s with 10 B&W authorized dealers in the midwest area, while most carried light cherry 802s still then followed by black ones, red cherry were all gone. I was lucky that a guy traded in his 802s for 800s while I was auditoning at a dealer, and that's how I got mine, just by chance.
Notice that the new Nautilus red cherry is somewhat different than the old Nautilus. I personally think the new ones look a little dull. That may have a factor in people's preference thus affecting your resale.- Bottom

The new ones aren't called Red Cherry anymore either, but Rosewood like in the 700 series.
That's why it looks different, because it IS different
I have mine in natural Cherry, black is great for dedicated HT rooms where you want to see as little of the speakers as possible.
The red ones work great in more classic interiors with a lot of dark wood furniture.- Bottom

I think 'black' is the safest bet. Goes with most furniture/style.
But are you buying this for YOU or the next guy? So, pick which one u like and move on.- Bottom

My recommendation is to go with the rosewood. It's very classy with a degree of sophistication. Natural wood color is suitable for most living environments. It's add's a degree of warmth and elegance to a room.
But like art, color is a beauty which is best interpreted in the eyes of the beholder.- Bottom

Cherry cherry cherry! LOL, it is all personal preference...as 'Junior77blue' said, buy it for yourself not the next guy! ...personally I think natural cherry is a nice light & warm colour, and adds a psychological effect of "warmth" to my system?"...if it's too loud, you're too old!"- Bottom

I thought for sure I would get natural cherry again when I sold my B&W Nautilus system last year. I knew the new B&W's were coming out soon so I sold them all to a friend for the price I got them for (which was actually a good deal). But now I may have to try the new rosenut finish when I get my 802D's. It won't match my Black/Cherry Salamander Synergy cabinet like before, but the new rosenut is just beautiful!- Bottom

by audioquesoMy Nautilus 805's were the cherry wood color.
My set of 804S are rosenut.
One thing I noticed is that the wood does not have the same texture.
The cherry wood of the 805 was silky smooth to touch. I never added any liquids and oils. Always cleaned it with just a microfiber...-
