Need some quick help please on old N803 vs new 804
- Actual Room Dimensions are 13' x 26' but listening area is 13' x 13'
- 50/50 HT + 2 channel, but very critical of 2 channel sound
- Currently own N805/HTM2/AMP5 /Anthem Statement D1 / Velodyne hgs12
- Would like to add new front speakers and move 805's to the back
- Went to dealer yesterday to buy New 804's ($3600)
- Dealer presented me with great price on 803 instead ($3750) New in Box
- Also presented me an option to but old N804 ($3000) New in Box
- Says I should go with 803's for the money
- 803's sound much bigger, but could be overkill for my room size
- 803's don't seem to get much airplay on this forum, its either 802 or 804
- Seems to be lots of 804/805 combinations
- Whats up with 803's... no real interest out there but seemed much better than 804 to me, much bigger sound and I cannot swing the 802s.
- my real concern is that I am used to the Speed of the 805 and it seems like the 803 are much slower...
Your thoughts are very much appreciated, as the old stock of 803's is running out.
Thx. David
