Dears,
its going to be over year now that I started to build the system of my dreams ... and even its not finished yet, I would like to share it with you:

Engine: DENON AVC-A1HD + DBP-4010UD with Samsung Plazma 63" screen
Front speakers: B&W 803 Diamond 2 running by bi-amp + HTM2 Diamond 2 as a center
Back speakers: B&W 805 Diamond 2
Subwoofer: still thinking about necessity ... I love concerts and I feel bass just enough.





As a passive (however frequent) reader of your posts, comments, photos, advices ... I found lot of inspirations & advices to utilize - thanks for that.

Have you considered wall mounting the TV and placing the center channel on the entertainment center? That approach should yield better synergy from the front three speakers.

Very nice. The speaker finish blends beautifully with your room. One suggestion, you would probably get better performance from the center if it was down lower. Have you considered getting the HTM stand and placing the speaker in front of the tv stand?

As for a subwoofer, I highly reccommend one, preferrably two to even out room response. Personally I think your feeling that the bass you hear in your system is fine as is is only because you haven't experienced what you can't hear A sub will absolutely destroy the 803Di in their ability to project deep controlled bass. My 802Di's simply can not compete with either my Paradigm Servo 15a's or my Sub 25. Although like you when I run my system in 2 channel without subs it's easy to get the impression that a sub isn't needed and when listening to stereo sources, especially music that probably is true for most music but once you switch from stereo to a soundtrack with a dedicated LFE in the signal and then compare the bass performance of a 5.0 setup to a 5.1 setup there is simply no comparison in my experience, having the sub just brings everything together.

Ethan06: Nope, It's a Pioneer KRP-600M plasma monitor I will propely sell them. My amps are btw Thule PA350B/PR350BV, but will upgrade to some new Classé pre-/amplifer with 804 Diamond. So both XT and Thule amplifer will be for sale.

Very nice setup!

I have a couple of questions. First, is the center channel right up to the front edge of the entertainment center (hard to tell from the picture)? If yes, cool. If not, I suggest moving it to front edge. This will eliminate any unwanted reflection off that glass surface.

Secondly, is there a rug in front of the speakers? If not, I definitely consider putting one there. That will help tame the reflections.

I have the same veneer in my 804D but I wondering if you don't have the same problem with these because when I try to clean up them whith the cleaning cloth some particles of wood try to stick up in the cloth, do you have the same problem? or it is a manufacturing problem?

Sadly... this is the end for me, I have to tear it down.. I never though it would be that painful... Maybe in few years I'll be able to rebuild a dedicated room like this... I'll miss this Rouge et Noir's room so much, each time I walked in it, closed the door... lay down on the couch.. hearing nothing but the clicking noise of the amplifiers when pressing the Power On button...

And.. NO NOTHING'S for sale! I keep everything eheheh

Can that be purchased on it's own or is it tied to the boxset? I have the DSOTM SACD that came out years ago and really enjoy the clarity and surround mix and would like to get another Pink Floyd album but I don't really want the big boxset.
