Its pretty simple what you have to make sure is that they are small enough You can use "picture it" to resize them each one must be under 100kb

Thank you. I have attached, and posted. Unfortunately, it is a bit small, will have to learn how to do better.

btw, where is the 'picture it' function ?

chowhwk- Great to have someone from Beijing. Those N 802s are B&Ws best looking speaker IMO and they sound even better. BTW have you heard Katie Melua's song "Nine Million Bicycles (in Beijing)"! Awesome tune. :welcome: -Russ

I have not heard the song. Beijing used to have millions of bicycles. They are now reduced to probably one or two million.
I will try to post more pictures on how I build the room once I master the resizing.

Santo Josafat! Que esto! Are you building a micro Radio city?? Fantastic construction. Now you can watch good movies while a nuclear holocaust is going on :B Modern version of nero playing the violin while Rome burns  Personally for the walls I would use acoustic composite panels instead of MDF MDF. You ca even leave it in concrete as long as you use evenly spaced sound breaks of absorbent material to eliminate harsh reflections. Again, very cool :T

By picture it I mean Microsft picture program or almost any other basic photoediting software. They all give the option to resize your picture for posting on the web. Open the photo choose resize and change it into an image that is smalles than 100kb, then save it under a different name and use the smaller pic to post :W

I have an equipment rack/stand that I am using for the time being but I may switch to a dedicated pair of stands instead and the VTI's maybe holding the ticket.

I actually have had the 800D for about a couple of weeks now. Although, they haven't seen much playing time lately as my system has been broken down due to the multiple home improvement projects that have been underway. Thankfully, we are on the tail end so I hope to get back to doing some more listening soon, maybe in the next few days. As soon as my spike kit and my plasma display come in I will be all set.

I have been periodically checking out this thread for a few years. My first B&W purchase was a pair of 602S3 bookshelves with an ASW300 - powered by a Marantz receiver. Then, a few months ago, I put together the following system:

                                                                                        Fronts: B&W 804S
                                                                                        Center: B&W HTM3S
                                                                                        Rears: B&W 602S3 (carried over...)
Sub: B&W ASW 300 (carried over...)
LCR Amp: Monster 3250 (picked up from costco.com for $999)
                                                                                        Rear Amp: Onkyo M-282 (2X100)

                                                                                        Furniture: BDI Axis

Here are my thougts: To be honest, I haven't been blown away by the sound. I think this is primarily due to a few things. First, I live in an apartment, so I can't really turn it up very loudly. Secondly, room acoustics - I know nothing about them. I do know, however, that the coffee table in front of the center speaker is probably not helping anything. Also, I know that enclosing the center speaker the way it is probably doesn't help (though I think I have pulled it out and aimed it upward as much as possible - see pictures). Lastly, I didn't have any system in here before to compare this one to - I moved the system in at the same time I moved in. Had I been here for a year with a crappy system, then I probably would think this was unbelievable.

I'm only 23, so budget is a huge concern (I have no more budget for AV stuff). I think once I move to a house and have a better dedicated room for this stuff, then it will open up the way I want it to (I hope).

Does anyone have any thoughts on how I can help the sound given the constraints I have? I'm not looking to buy anything substantial or make any substantial changes such as furniture, components etc.

Keep in mind that I'm new to this stuff - so when I say it doesn't blow me away, that doesn't mean that there is anything wrong. Perhaps I just don't have realistic expecations...who knows...

Thanks in advance for the ideas, suggestions, advice, etc!

[Edit: I wouldn't say I'm disappointed in the sound - I guess I was just expecting more after spending what I consider to be an inordinate amount of money on this stuff... I would say I am pretty satisfied when it comes to music, and somewhat less satisfied with HT.]

I had these speakers and they should absolutely produce magical sound. As I am not an HT guy, I cant comment about that side of your setup.
