Sound Anchors, Granite slabs or spikes for 804's

Just thought I would ask what you 804 owners prefer.
Mine will be arriving by Christmas and I want to be ready for them. Any preferences for any of the above and if so what have you experienced by doing so? Thanks for the help.

    804 solutions

    springer49,

I have 804's. I have sound anchors with polycrystal spikes. These do a nice job of anchoring the 804's as well as tightening up the bass. The quality of bass is almost as good as the mid's and highs. Hope this helps.

PS. Spikes on a sub are a good idea if you can do it. Once I got my sub off the carpet the improvement was immediate. I had spikes, but they were not very big. I got bigger spikes.

Sound Anchor vote from me. You can always upgrade the SA spikes later on if you want.

htsteve, Thanks for the photos. Hopefully I will have them after christmas.
I was wondering if you had thought about using any other type of spikes rather than SA standard spikes.

              springer49,

I use the polycrystal spikes on the 804 stands (the URL is obvious). They worked very well for my sub, so I got some for the stands. Hope this helps.

                Granite Stands for B&W 804s

In preparation for arrival of my new 804s, I am thinking about getting stands. I live in California and it's not a matter of IF the "BIG ONE" hits, it's a matter of WHEN time. :E And you don't have to be a structural engineer (which I just happen to be) to figure out that it wouldn't take...

                Granite???
                by Freddie40
Has anyone used granite under their speakers? Did you also use spikes under the granite/between the speakers and granite?

Is the sound better using granite versus just spikes? Any details will help.

                Thanks,

                Dave

I've decided to get the 802ds.
                Couple of things:
I talked to Soundanchors on the phone about whether or not my 802n anchors will work on the 802ds. They finally concluded that it would work although I would have to take the rollers off, and also put "camper's tape" on the anchors....

                Hi

Are there any hifi enthusiasts who use granite isolation slabs under there spks to help to tighten up the bass and to prevent vibration from causing havoc with there systems?

I've heard great things from this, and maybe thinking of buying a pair to place under my floorstanding...

                Hey Gang-
Im waiting on a pair of Sound Anchors that should be here in a few days. I have hardwood floors & the stands have spikes. What are some good options for the spikes? I saw the conecoasters at soundanchors.com & was wondering what other items are readily available. Has anyone...
