was wondering if anyone has compared the 2.What are the significant changes if any and what differences in sound.Is the s3 a significant upgrade. thanks

The S3 of the 600 series had clearer trebble and midrange. I would not upgrade from a 603 S2 to a 603 S3 to achieve it - but if you are thinking of buying - then the S3 is a better choice. The worst S2 model was the DS6 which in the S2 range had no tweeter!
Take a favourite high quality CD (e.g. Nora Jones Come Away with me) and listen you will soon know!

I currently have 600 s2 speakers (603s2, LCR6) and am looking to upgrade. I was thinking about the CM5,7 or 9 as fronts and the CMC2 center. The RH speaker will be in a corner (2ft from back wall and 1ft from side) - are stand mount speakers better than floor standing in this situation?... -
I finally got the lcr600 to go with my 603s3's.They sound awesome for ht.Even in stereo i have the 603s3 set to large w/sub and they are great all by themselves.I will probably get the surrounds to complete the setup early next year.Will probably get the 601s3 since they have to be wall mounted.I believe... -
