    CDM 7NT - Damage

I have noticed a small dent in the dome of the tweeter. (Approx 10x5 mm)

I can only assume one of my son's have knocked cover or my visiting mother has knocked when cleaning?? Everyone knows not to go near the speakers therefore no answer as to how dent appeared.

Question is should this dent affect the tweeter and if so can it be repaired

    Thankyou for assistance

Tweeters on the NT series are fairly easy to replace.

I had a dented one on my 1 NT, and I ordered a new one direct from B&W service. I actually bought two new ones, so that both my tweeters would be the same (the B&W guy advised me to) I installed the new ones myself. Its sort of annoying, but not too difficult.

Oh yeah, they were about $80 per tweeter IIRC.

I have a pair of CDM 7NT's, which I opted to purchase instead of the new 704's or 703's because: (i) I thought that the midrange sounded superior to the new 700's and (ii) because the...

      CDM 9NT v. CDM 7NT
      by gostan
I currently have 7nt's for fronts and 1 nt's for rears. I have an opportunity to purchase either a pair of used 7nt's or 9nt's. I could then use the 1nt's in my second zone. My existing stereo-ht room is too small for 7.1, but I would then be ready for 7.1 in the future. The 7's have a nice laid back...

      Dent in Tweeter

I just got home from picking up my Wharfedale Evolution 10 speakers (in glossy piano black), which will be used as rear speakers in my Home theater; matched up with the Wharfedale Opus 2. Which by the way still haven't arrived and probably won't for another month or so.

      When I unpacked...

Excellent website. I am so glad to find it.

I am powering my B&W 7nt speakers with a 1062 integrated. A friend of mine over for a listen suggested that i was underpowered. I've been given advice to add a RB 1070 amp. Is this really necessary to get the best 2 channel sterio sound...
