Wow , You can almost put a face to you folks.
I was born in the winter of "33" I think I am the most ancient one here in the get aquianted section so far.
I started life in the hills of West Virginia. Coal mining country. When you reach the age of 17-18, its traditional that your life as a coal miner will begin.
But..........not for me. My father was in that profession for 38 years.
I entered the U.S. Air force at 18 and stayed for 20 years.
Enlisted during the Korean War, but went to Germany. Primary job in the Air Force was with KB-50 in flight refueling tankers. Scary job. Topped off that assignment with a tour in Viet Nam then into the Recruiting business the last 5 years.
My interest was always in electronics. Afte the AF, became a DJ locally. Lots of fun but bad pay.
About age 60, got real interested in stereo and VCR,s I got the bug.
I now have this room I built in my garage(no one ever puts their car in the garage here in central Fl) 11X14 in which I house my computer.
About a month back, my daughter says "Dad" I have the perfect Idea, a Home Theater! and its all been uphill since then. Let me say this, from what I've found out, when you enter the world of HT, you will never go back to TV.
After (thank God) stumbling upon this forum, I am so into it. You folks have helped me tremendously. I thank you so very much.
I am now retired, my wife of 50 years works part time so that she don't have to hear me ramble about HT all the time.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you
