Hi everyone, Im just throwing this idea out there for a new topic for people to post gift ideas they have received or given to someone who loves music, home theatre or any other music related topic. I figured its hard enough to get unusual gifts that are a nice surprise and a change from the norm so this could be a good resource for family or friends to go to for ideas.
To start off i have one I received recently and one I gave as a gift.
The one I received was from my wife and daughter on fathers day. We have an agreement that on mothers/fathers day we have to make the gift as it takes a little more effort and comes from the heart.
When i moved to the US in 2001 one of the few things I couldn't leave in the UK were my late fathers original Beatles 45's he bought whilst in the Army on national service. Unknown to me my wife bought this from amazon and framed one of them for me, totally blew me away when i opened it. It still has the his name sellotaped to it from when he was in the Army barracks!
The gift i gave away was at my daughters christening to her godfather. He's a big Jazz vinyl record enthusiast and has about 2000 records. To do something to acknowledge his record passion we got him a nice set of cufflinks again available at amazon. He loved them!
Anyway there are my starters, if you like the idea please add some extras so we can share.
Moderators: if this has already been done please feel free to delete, i did look and couldn't see it anywhere.

things like that do blow you away much more than the usual gifts. its the depth and thought that makes it special.
