Hey, a new moderator for Movies, DVDs, TV!

Swing by DVD Director, or At the Movies and post something new.

Welcome please Ovation (Paul) to the staff of HTG. He's taking over where George moderated previously. Assuming full duties. Wedgies for misbehavior and all.

Also, don't forget to thank George for a job well done, and wish him continued good health and to not be a stranger here, thanks!

we may add one more, that will replace me in At the movies and on TV, and DVD Director, we'll see, for now, it is like it is.

    Thanks.
    Doug

I should spend more time over there, but with work like it's been, I haven't watched any of my favorite shows or upcoming movies since last September... no spare time during the week, and the weekends are just a race through a long to-do list! But I'll drop in and see what Paul and the rest are up to and viewing... a little vicarious entertainment for me!

Thanks for the kind words. I may not be overly present in the next 6-8 weeks with a few road trips and other summer activities with the kids on the agenda, but once Labour Day passes, I'll be able to post more substantively. In the meantime, I plan to check in when I can and make quick observations/suggestions for things to watch.

Please welcome DVD director new moderator!
          by Lex
Folks, our friend Paul Wu has just been to busy to really keep up with DVD Director on any sort of regular basis. So, while Paul retains moderator status, it was time to move ahead and get someone in here to contribute more regularly.

I thought of Dean McManis, a long time DVD proponent,...

          Classic Movies
          by Chris D
Several years ago, I decided that I wanted to read all of the "classic" works of literature, and dove into a reading list including Stranger in a Strange Land, Catcher in the Rye, various Asimov, Steinbeck, Ayn Rand, etc. I'm making progress.

Since then, I've started to buy...

          The Natural -- Director's Cut
          by George Bellefontaine
When I saw this film in 1984 in the theater, I felt it was the greatest baseball movie ever made, and after watching the newly released director's cut on standard dvd, my opinion hasn't changed.

There's probably few here who are not aware of this film, but basically it's about a talented...

          Intel Launches 2.0 GHz P4
          by Bing Fung
Early bench marks show this is with out a doubt the fastest Processor on the market. With that Intel grabs the speed crown back from AMD, and is the first to break the 2GHz barrier. Unfortunately that performance comes at a price of around $562 us. Compared to the 1.4 Athlon at $130, it seems AMD is...
