Sick and Tired of this winter we are having

I'm usually ok with the winter. Yeah it gets cold , snows but this year is out of hand. It's all the time, every time I get done shoveling the driveway, another storm rolls in. This time it's a full out Ice attack. Power outages everywhere, we where without power since last night until just a few hours ago. People behind me have their generator on and has been all day so they are still without power.

This is all going on in the Philadelphia Area of PA.

I agree! Usually I'm fine with winter, but we've had frozen pipes out the butt, kids are on their 7th snow day and so on. It's just getting a bit old.

Hehehee... welcome to my world of an Alaskan. This year, though, because all the weather is trapped on the eastern US, we're having a wonderfully warm winter here in Alaska. Sunny and dry, and I can even see my full grassy yard, which is unheard of in Jan/Feb. It's typical that when you guys are getting very good or very bad weather down there, we get the opposite up here.

So... sorry, but I'm happy with this continuing.

The difference is you guys likely have properly designed houses so your pipes don't freeze as well as backup power systems many of the times.

Ok, George. Just for you then, we got a dusting of light snow today, and the February winds are running again tonight. I would expect in another couple days, you guys on the eastern seaboard should see winter return to more normal.
