Considering the Elac FS 208-A's. Anyone compare these to N803's or similar productSamsung UN60C6300 | Primare SP32 | Primare A30.7 | Oppo BDP-103 | PS Audio Quintet | AppleTV | ELAC 247 Black Edition | ELAC CC 241 Black Edition | B&W DM 600 S3 | SVS PC 13 Ultra | Straight Wire Virtuoso | Harmonic Technology Pro 9's | Black Sands Power Cords- Bottom

I haven't heard the Elac line. I did go out and looked up the FS 208. The only thing I see to watch out for is the 4ohm nominal that dips to 3.4ohm. You might not want to pair these with a light-duty receiver. One little thing I noticed showed some attention to detail - the 2-part bass plug. That'll give you a touch more range in adjusting the sound to suit you. And, they are nice looking.
It'll be interesting to get some info on how they sound..

For new speakers I am considering cm9's with matching cmc2, or the Elac fs 208a with maching centre (recomended from my ht dealer) or a used pair of n803's or 804sSamsung UN60C6300 | Primare SP32 | Primare A30.7 | Oppo BDP-103 | PS Audio Quintet | AppleTV | ELAC 247 Black Edition | ELAC CC 241 Black Edition | B&W DM 600 S3 | SVS PC 13 Ultra | Straight Wire Virtuoso | Harmonic Technology Pro 9's | Black Sands Power Cords- Bottom

by patjohI have a RSP-966 processor today. I had a RB-985 but changed it to a Marantz MM-9000 power amp some time ago, mostly to get a slightly "warmer" sound.
I have ELAC 208.2 speakers, which are very revealling and sensitive to "colder", "brighter" electronics...-

by DrewbertIm looking around on audiogon for some 700s... And I ultimatly want 804s or 803s. But I noticed that I can find N803s for a little bit more than the newer 700s.... so would you go for the N, or just save a little more and buy the newer 800s? For me the 703s are much easier to get, and I love the way...-

by sorpeHello,
I'm wandering about inserting a power conditioner and a power stabilizer with: N803S, MC402, MF pre and transport.
What is the impact in the functionality, in sense of current (performance) limitation ?
What do you recommend: other than Richard Gray....-

by David MeekMats 'n Doug,
I'm getting really poor performance lately - at least for the last month or so. I ran a trace on the route from my work location to the guide and got the following (see hop 22 especially). Any thoughts?
PS. I edited out the first two addresses just to be safe....-

by ilkoHello!
I have been reading on this forum for sometime now, but I must say that I am rather amazed to see hardly any people posting on stereo setups. I currently use a Rotel RC/RB-1070 combination with two Elac 209JET speakers (German build, www.elac.com). I would very much like to add...-
