Does she live in a separate house, then? As long as the use of "her" was in jest, fine, but I have a few friends who, essentially, are guests in their own home (they make mortgage payments--frequently more than half--but they're lucky if they get to select the socks they wear on any given day). I looked at the speakers and my wife would likely not want most (if any--a few seemed okay) in the living room (largely for cost/practical space reasons) but she would NEVER presume to tell me that A) I couldn't have a pair of my choosing if the cost was not an issue NOR B) that OUR house is "her" house with the underlying implication that she has full veto rights on all things.Originally posted by Kevin HaskinsI showed my wife and she wouldn't let me put ANY of those speakers in her house. FWIW--I heard the horn (three horns: big, bigger, biggest) with the separate horn bass module at an A/V show last year and they sounded great. Way too big for any room in my house, but if I had space for them (and money
), I'd consider them.

I know someone who ones a pair of B&W Nautilus as shown in the first picture. They sound fantastic and are a work of art IMO. What makes them even more spendy is that each driver requires a separate amp. So that's 4 monoblocks (100W minimum) per speaker. 8 amps total. :ESantino

It's not the first time it's been said, but those things always remind me of the alien monster in the Alien movies.Originally posted by littlesaintI know someone who ones a pair of B&W Nautilus as shown in the first picture. There are some things which are impossible to know, but it is impossible to know which things these are. :scratchhead:

by rotel&energyHey guys:
Big problem...my soon to be fiancee just bought her first house and the plan is for me to move in down the road. Ok, that's great but this is her first home and it is pretty small. I think a little over 1200 sq. ft. I was taking a look at the house the other night and realized...-

by oldbobIn 1975 I was working on a film in Alabama being directed by a young Steven Spielberg. It was a difficult story to get on film because in those days if you wanted something in the picture you had to actually figure out a way to photograph it. You couldn't just go into a computer and spit out a cartoon...-

by LexI decided to switch things up with TV. I'm diversifying so to speak. I'll have some DirecTV, and same cable. I cut my Directv package down to the lowest available, and kept Showtime. I'm saving approximately $70.00 a month on it by only turning HBO off, and loosing a bunch of nothing channels I...-

Yep, another one of those films that it seems like only my wife and I watch. Well this is the story of a real life mother of 10, Evelyn Ryan ( played by Julianne Moore) who had to come up with some way of raising a large family while putting up with a nasty drunk of a husband, Kelly ( played effectively...-
