Any NY Resolutioons regarding HT ?

    I have.

    (a) I will rent more dvds than I will buy this year. I am running out of space, and I have movies in my collection I have only watched once. I also have a lot of crappy titles in my collection, even though I did some housecleaning last year. So I figure it will be rent first, then determine if this is the kind of film I would want to watch again, and if so, then I will buy it. Still, there will be hot titles I will definitely buy before I rent, like Lord Of The Rings, Signs, K-19, Road To Perdition... well, you get the point. But for titles like Triple X, well, I think I will watch first before I buy.

    (b) second resolution: watch more movies than I did last year.

I really have set any resolutions. I think a good one will be to build TV stand and Rack for the entertainment room.

I will sell more cables for HTs this year, customers willing.

I may investigate this new Lexicon that's supposed to come out this year, I shouldn't, but if they have a good trade in program, I may be forced to check it out. Other than that, the only other HT upgrade for me would be a new RPTV, progressive scan single player, and those are postponed indefinitely right now.

          1) Have more sex (okay, it's not REALLY HT-related).
          2) Finish the damn theater room!
          3) Watch more movies than 2002 (good one George)

            1) Finalize/Freeze DVD playback configuration using DXVA and NVDVD player; update all PC's, and quit screwing around with HTPC configuration.

            3) Build subs with the BPD1203 drivers I bought last year.

            4) Rebuild my Aragon 8002 and 8008X3

            5) Find an affordable HD compatible front projectiong system who's contrast and color quality make me happy (Hah! Likely as Bush becoming a true compassionate conservative)

            6) Watch some movies! (I've got a backlog of disks, unwatched, including Saving Private Ryan, The Deep Blue, The Messenger, Tora Tora!, Lawrence of Arabia, North by Northwest, Ben Hur, Braveheart, LOTR, Dr. Zhivago, etc).

Buy less dvds. Like George I'm running out of space. Last year I was able to keep my resolution as I throttled down from 103 titles purchased to only 58 titles. This year I'm setting a limit to max 52 titles, with the goal of only adding 24 new titles. This is going to be tough.

Along the same lines, is I'd like to watch more of my movies. I've got 96 titles still unviewed, luckily only about 24 titles are movies or shows I have not seen before. I'd like to view those and tick off my unviewed list.

I don't want to add any new HT gear, unless I can afford it. Last year was wild! All that was missing was a new receiver or a pre/pro! and I saw a killer deal on an old Marantz 550, but held my ground.

I'd like to get my BFD incorporated into my system and get macros programmed into my pronto.

And finally I'd like to make more money so that I can buy a new house and install a custom home theater so all my friends can come by and enjoy what a real movie experience should be
