    New "Home Theater Builder Magazine"

    All-

As some may know, I'm a contributing writer for Home Theater Builder Magazine. This mag has just been published with the first issue and is starting to hit the news stands. We're focused on the Do-It-Yourselfer at all levels, from beginner to expert. I'm wondering who has seen the mag yet. Any input so far?

Haven't seen it yet, Chris, but I suspect it would be very much of interest. I'll keep an eyeball peeled when I'm out shopping this weekend.

    Best regards,

    Jon

I'm a charter subscriber, Chris. I understand the first issue is in the mails, but it still hasn't arrived in this little corner of the world. But then, everything slows down in the mails this time of year.

I will definitely post by thoughts after I have a chance to go through the first issue. I am really tired of home theater magazines with cover to cover reviews and little else on home theater. That's why I am so interested in Home Theater Builder Magazine.

Chris, I'm a charter subscriber also. And also, it hasn't made into my mailbox yet. Soon as it does, I'll post my thoughts. C'mon mailman. . .

Hey all...I saw the magazine last night. Only because Chris's better half is at our place and gave me their copy to look over. I didn't read everything, too busy with my final for school, etc...but it looks pretty good for the first issue. Only problem is...well, there's this article that a guy named Chris D wrote...and well, the article is fine and everything...it's just there's this picture of this guy next to a plane and well...his ugle mug just ruined the reading experience!

Ah, ya know I'm just messin' with you...

Looks like a good mag that will only get better with time...looking forward to watching it progress, especially since we have an insider writing for it! Perhaps he'll even plug HTG for us! ;lx

"ugle mug"??? Hmmm....not sure what that is, maybe something out of the Lord of the Rings. Now an UGLY mug, okay, I guess that's me. 8O

Dang it... I can't even read my own issue, since i'm off traveling and won't be home until later this week. Erik, have at the magazine, but try to keep the chewing gum and soda spills to a minimum, please.

Can't wait to get started with my project. So soon!

Chris, ugle mugs are the new creatures that they are reporting in the Northwest since Bigfoot turned out to be a hoax.
Checked the mailbox last night, but no mag yet. . . . :uhoh:

It's shown up! I'm now the proud possessor of the first copy of HTB on my block. At least that I know of. . . .

So far so good. Good concept and good articles. It'll be interesting to see the development of several of the series - especially Chris'. Nice photo of you and your "old" baby, BTW! When do we get a pic of you and your "new" one? Not to the same scale I'll bet, hehe.

Hey, Captain Chris D, I got around to reading the magazine, and your article, yesterday. Your project will be followed with interest. I just hope that the pending/possible war with Iraq won't be a problem for you and interrupt your schedule of articles for the magazine.

BTW, nice little jet plane you have there. Yoiu must have an awfully large garage.

Thanks, boys. Since I'm currently in training for a new airplane, there's not very much chance that I'll be participating in anything going on until May or possibly late April at the earliest.

2nd issue is being printed and supposed to be shipping very soon! The HTB website has been updated too.

Yeah. Claude, most of today's HT magazines are cover to cover equipment reviews, so it's nice to see something that deals with the meat and potatoes of Home Theater.

Well, guys, I just went to my local Borders store yesterday, and guess what I found? Issue 5 of HTB Mag sitting there as pretty as you please, with only 2 copies left. I bought both copies of course. I'm happy I've finally found it in the stores here on the west coast. Looks like distribution continues to expand!

                                        Hey Chris,

I flipped through the magazine at the stand. It looks impressive. It looks to be a very helpful mag for guys like myself looking to do things themselves. I'm looking at picking it up myself as it illustrates and gives great instructions on how-to's of building even if you've never done it. I'll be hanging on to them as reference mags for when I can build a dedicated room for home theater.
