Hello Red. Once upon a time, we had a club BK. However, the moderator quit coming here, and so did the BK members. So the club was phased out.

So, I will put the challenge to you. YOU find the warm bodies willing to participate, and I will create Club BK again. I need at least 10-15 people to make that happen. Get the members, tell me who they are, and I will re-start the club!

Oh yeah, and welcome to the forum Red!

        I'm in!

        AVR 307 and luvin' it.

I've just started hearing about the new model(s). Ref 50? No idea about features, tho. I'm hoping for more room correction features (parametric EQ). I'm sure it'll have DPLII and probably DTS whatever? Some talk of balanced outputs also.

Upgrades (finally!) to follow, as well.

PMazz your speakin my language. I am holding out for the Ref 50. I hear it will be around 4K (steeeep). Balanced outs all the bells & whistles, and look different with rounded sides and blue display

Hi guys. I'm not currently an owner, but I'm interested in added an amp to my current receiver (Yammie RX-V1), and the B&K 7270 is one I'm considering. So, count me in on the club. Red, where in Dallas are you? I spent my high-school years in Rockwall.

Lemme qualify that - I'm considering it when the bonuses come out in January-February.

Count me in for a Ref50. + Ref200-5. Soon as Tweeter has one in the door, it's all me. I'm finally going seperates ! YEAH !
I had a B&K 307 for close to a year. I decided to trade to a Denon 5803 to play around with all the processing features the 307 lacked. After spending time with both, the B&K sound is definately what i prefer... hands down. I'm betting the Ref50 will be loaded. Not to mention going from receivers to seperates should be a nice leap..

I.m back from vacation, and ready to lust over B&K once again

Ref 50...Looks like $2999.95 is cheap!!! I thought the Ref 30 was priced there??? Funny how Sound Advise has pics and the B&K web site says NOTHING :? Anyway, I wonder why the specs list it has 200w X 7...is this what they recommend for amp or is it intergrated (I don't think so) Must be refering to new Ref 200 amp.

Does Tweeter own Sound Advise??? Because tweeter does not have these yet!

Yep... Tweeter owns Sound Advice. Funny, i called the Tampa Sound Advice to see if they'd mail me a catalog. The guy there tried to tell me if i wanted B&K gear, i'd have to get it from them (Sound Advice) because Tweeter doesn't carry B&K... lol, wrong.

They obviously don't communicate with each other. I guess B&K wants to "unveil" the Ref 50 at the CEDIA show. But if thats the case then why do the let their distributors have info prior??? (SA)

The local Tweter stores in Dallas doesn't have a clue about it!!!

It's definately in the computer at my local Tweeter.. No eta though. I bet the info regarding availability appears in the computer after CEDIA.

                                  2999 was list price. I would expect 2500 - 2600 street price.

There is a broker on both Ebay and Audiogon who is selling the Reference 50 for $2350.
According to a contact at B&K, all dealers are getting a special early bird discount for orders placed before Oct 15th. This special price makes it easy for a dealer to sell this unit at $2250, and still make a decent profit. Whether they do so or not is solely up to them...

With Tweeter's business distribution setup, you might find that the warehouse will absorb that incentive internally rather than pass it on to the individual stores.

If dealers pass this incentive on to us, you might find alot of brand new B&K owners, quickly?
