What's the best way to connect an integrated amp to a hdtv, should I buy a source to do this??

I know we have different taste when it comes to sound, and there are therefore nothing that's called "the best amp for B&W 703". But still, it would be interesting to hear what amps you have tried with 703 and to hear which you prefered and why. -
I'm trying to connect my rotel amp to a mac pro.. what's the safest and best way to get quality out of it... currently i'm running a red and white cord on my aux on the rotel's end and on the other end is a headphone plug and plugged in via headphone jack on my mac pro... Is it possible to connect an amp to the Rotel RX-1052 for use in one room to add power? Also, could a line converter be used to connect a subwoofer? Any Rotel Pro's out there? Thanks.
