    Goodbye X-Files :(

Well, they are all gone now.

Mulder, Scully, Skinner, the Lone Gunmen, Dogget, Reyes, the Cigarette-Smoking Man, Krycek, Deep Throat, Spender and all the others that made this series such a hit for 9 years worth of suspense, creeps, chills, thrills and laughs.

I'll miss them. How about you?

I've been a loyal fan, but I could never really get into it after Mulder left. Not that Dogget and Reyes didn't do a good job, I liked them; it's just that the conspiracy wasn't really there and I didn't have the fun of trying to figure out what the heck was going on, like I used to. There seemed to be only obvious, standalone plots in the last year.

I felt the final episode was a bit forced. I guess if you hadn't been watching for nine years, you might have learned something, but it sure wasn't any new news to me as they unravelled the plot and trotted out all the old characters. The CSM scene was fairly well done, but other than that I give it a failing grade - it was just a poor springboard for the subsequent movie to follow. I think Chris C had simply run out of ideas for X.............

Not being much of a tv watcher, I really never got into watching this series, so the fact it is gone doesn't matter much to me.

I watched a few times over the last 9 years, but you could hardly call me a fan. I am not to much a fan of gore, slime, green stuff, you know? lol.

I do have X-files, the movie, it's not bad, except for the green gob.

But I did enjoy watching occasionally.

For you fans, I'm sorry it is over, but when I found out (before I had ever watched a single episode) that the "X" in X-Files did NOT mean "X-rated"... I found something else to watch. :>)

The final episode was more for people that watched a little then those of us that watched almost every show...it was like we were led by the hand though the 9 yearsduring the trial (snooze) but the ending was better. Still there were some major holes in it that had me wondering what the writers were thinking...oh well I'll miss it but more because it had become a routine for us to watch the X-Files on sunday night...

There's been consistent talk of X-Files movies, ala Star Trek, to continue the story-line. If so, wrapping everything up would have diminished choices of story-lines possible for the movies.

At least the Cigarette-Smoking Man got it in the end. :#

Hi. I just bought the DVD-A of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and I cannot seem to play the advanced resolution audio stream. I have a Pioneer DV563-A hybrid player that plays both SACD and DVD-A and I have never had this problem before. Any suggestions or is this a defective disc? It does play back the...

I was a big fan of the tv series, but was disappointed by the movie. The plot is heavy on character development and the relationship between Mulder and Scully, but light on the story line and action. It was really a lot like a tv episode and not much more.

This is a Canadian made World War One film starring Paul Gross, a well known and respected Canadian actor who also wrote and directed Passchendaele. Gross was intrigued by a story told to him by his grandfather, Michael Dunne, about how he bayoneted a young German to death and how it haunted him until...
