    Anything new in speakers?

I've been neglecting HT for PC stuff recently. Back when I had all HT equipment memorized I was most enthused by the speaker market. There was just something sexy about the design, sound and appearance of certain speakers (in all price ranges).

Since I've been "out" for a while anyone care to bring me up to speed? Are the same brands still dominating the "mid-fi" market (Paradigm, Definitive, Energy, Mirage, Klipsch, etc.)? Are there any new kids on the block? I heard zero speaker news from CES.

    Fill me in!!!

Joseph Audio has a good reputation now. Many others out there. Just pick up a couple of good hi-fi mags, and there is a virtual plethoria of speakers on the market. I know one of Joseph Audio's speakers runs like 7500 a pair. not exactly mid-fi, but they might make something less money.

Of course, IMO, there still remains no better value than Sonus faber Concerto/Concertinos.

Evolution not revolution is the CES speaker theme.

Joseph Audio is interesting, their speakers end up being 81-82db efficient??? One of the major magazines is trying to review a pair but continues to be unable to have a pair consistant enough to complete the article. Joseph keeps sending them mods and upgrades....
