There's a storm brewing in town! Run!

Yup, my new Tempest drivers from Adire Audio arrived today! Man, these things are heavy, I about had a hernia just carrying them in the house 1 at a time, lol. I can hardly wait for what lies ahead with these bad boys. But at present, it will have to wait. Oh well, something to look forward to anyway! It's not like I don't have bass in the meantime, lol.

Does this mean we get to look forward to CAT Subwoofers in the near future? I might have to upgrade my SVS...

Sounds like some serious bass you lugged into the house. Hope you're not situated too close to your neighbors! :B

      See ya... KJP

Oh yeah Wireless, that was me, lol. That was with the Shivas too! lol.

Kev, what a funny guy. You know I am the Cable King.
Had an S-video Quadcat arrive in California today. He said, "That'e the best looking S-video cable I ever seen." Granted, he don't get out much, but still! lol. That's what keeps me going.

            Storm damaged my Rotel 1056.
            by James63
            Background:

A big storm came through quickly and knocked out the power. None of my equipment was in use when the storm came through and I unplugged everything before the power came back up. It was also plugged into a surge protector. Nothing else was damaged. My two channel system works...

            power outage after storm
            by Lex
I googled and found out that there's 109,000 still without power as of 8 AM this morning. It was 650,000 at the height of the storm. That's a tremendous load on utility companies, wow.

I hope all of our members in the north faired ok in this storm of up to 38" of snow, wind, and...

            RSP 1066 and REL storm
            by Fred Penders
I use the rsp 1066 together with 5 rmb 100 monoblocs and the REL Storm subwoofer. I can't get the REL playing good enough in 2 ch stereo. Even with gain at maximum (should not be done!) it has almost no volume. The settings in the OSD seem to be right. I used the same REL together with my old Luxman...

Denon DVD-5900... new king in town!
            by LEVESQUE
Just finishing playing for my new 5900 for 6 hours. All I can say is wow!

This thing is so HUGE it's even bigger in size then my Bryston 4BSST! Prepare your rack for a big piece of equipment, maybe 50% bigger then my Denon DVD-3800.

Nice box, with a Denon link cable and...

I live in a city of 93,000 people and we have had only two real AV retailers for many years. The two retailers carry many of the same products, and the nearest third retailer is 1 1/2 hrs away. Needless to say this whole area...
