From what point do you measure your surrounds for delay setting?

For those that have their surround elevated (with stands or wall mounted). Do you measure the direct line distance from the tweeter/woofer or, do you measure parallel distance to the stand or wall?

For me since mine are wall mounted, this is an addition of 3ft.

John I measured from the front of the speaker to where my ears would be if I were sitting in the sweet spot

Thanks for the replies. I use the same point of measurement. I just thought I would ask because, you never know if your logic and electronic logic are the same.

Just picked up "Thriller" And "Off the Wall" Re-Mastered
          by John Holmes
I have no clue as to how an album or cd gets re-mastered but, they did one helluva job with these two. I am impressed with how much more they can squeeze out of redbook cd's with each passing year.

This release of Thriller best any prior release on any format (though I've not heard the...

          Sub: sonotube, siting, EQ, delay?
          by ro9397
Questions concern siting & enclosure material for a custom sub for a very high-end music reproduction system. Sub source is a mono signal from a proprietary pure-analog processor. Will start w/ one sub; depending on results may add a second sub.

Well after considerable deliberation, I am moving forward with my orion project. (I have to regrettably sell my halo gear to fund the project and the process will be the subject of another thread once I begin).

          1066 Signal Delay mysteries
          by jprzybylski
To keep everyone interested in the signal-delay problems that burden the RSP-1066, here is an update.

I have contacted Rotel with specific information regarding when and how the signal delay happens and they are looking into it.

I did find this quick-fix. Whenever I play...
