Well, we know you become a member at some point, and I am not sure of the number. We will create some special titles for old farts that have posted a lot, like 500, 1000, 10,000...
So, hurry to get there and see what the mysterious title will be! lol.

I think I know what Ken is asking for -and I like the idea too. On the left side (below our name and location) the software also displays the total number of posts that person has contributed.

A few other sites have done that...it's a neat way to see who's been around for a while.

It is not as easy but all you have to do is click on the person's profile to find out how many posts they have.

That's a simple feature to add eventhough as Pat stated, clicking on the posters profile will give you all the details.
Will think about adding this after I've added a new feature for the Links in the Guide.

I think I'd like to see the post count on the left as well as well as fun names for people that get to certian milestones. Most of the other forums stop at full member etc once you get past say 40 but there's little incentive to get to 1000 or 3000 etc

Thanks guys for giving Mats much due credit. He has worked tirelessly on this site the last 2 weeks or so. Of course, I ain't been sitting on my ass, ok, well, I have. But last week I RE-catalogued 775 links into what I perceived was the appropriate catagory. This took DAYS!!! lol. I actually had already done the research, but due to a system design consideration, was forced to re-visit work that happened a few months ago. Yes, this has been planned for months!

I just want you guys to know a little of what went into the Guide. It wasn't just grabbing a link and saying throw it in Online A/V sales, for example. It was mostly going to the site, and making sure that web text was accurate, or in fact writing text for the link based upon my trip there. Needless to say, my browser cache is FULL, lol.

Thanks Andrew, I believe that not only it will, but it already has! I feel a synergy building in this forum, that honestly, I like a lot. That's a credit to the guys that I cherry picked, I mean, the ones that decided to give us a chance, and a credit to their knowledge and personalities, that is making this thing mesh.

Another example, having helped design the guide structure and entering the links, I know a lot about what is there in my brain. Already when I see a question, times are popping up where I refer to the guide for either an answer, or a place to do research. I really believe that after some of you spend some quality time there, that the same thing will begin happening with you. So, that's what I feel good about already, and further, what I think I will feel good about well into the future-

Actually Mats I was wonderiny why you choose 20 posts as the next page jump? I know it helps to keep the pages loading quick but on threads that roll along quickly it might be a little low if people aren't checking back on a regular basis (tisk tisk I know!) Guess We'll just have to wait and see how things progess here but on HTF that would be a problem IMO.

It is no problem, really.
If you click on the subject line in the threads listing it will show all posts as default. If you select one of the small numbers to the right of the subject it loads a spitted page.

There is a bug though that I will try to fix tonite. If your have the full listing when you do a reply, it (for some reason) misses to pass that parameter on after the post is submitted and you are returning back to page 1 of the splitted pages. Thought I had that fixed but...
