did I ever share the falls I hiked to? I just did some editing to a raw file, it's one thing I've worked to get better at this weekend while feeling cruddy, using Capture 4.0 to enhance my work. Photoshop is good too, but there are some things that work better in Capture. What I am having trouble with though is figuring out how to do both, hmmm...

To complete the total and utter hijacking of the thread...
That picture is beautiful, and great font at the bottom too. What was the exposure length on that one?- Patrick

thanks Patrick.
the font is called commscriptTT Of course, the effects are photoshopped.
I can't recall where I got that font.
2.5 seconds exposure, aperture F8, using a neutral density filter, 17-35 lens shot at 17mm @ 125 ISO.
This is a pretty dark place under forest canopy, there's still some mountain significantly above this spot, so it's rather shaded at 3:30 to 4 in afternoon. Truthfully, it may well be shaded every day every minute, lol.
I still need to look and make sure this is the best image, as I shot quite a few at different settings, it's what I do. I call it blasting a shoot. Don't go in with a light meter setting up precisely for one shot, use the digital, shoot like a model photographer does, but not quite as fast as that. :-)Doug

Nintendo seems to be changing the minds of our children. Just yesterday, I was driving by a playground, and heard a kid go down a slide and scream,
"Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiii"CHRIS
Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

Lex,
I agree with what you're saying. I was trying to be a little tongue in cheek. To clarify, I wasn't even referring to the broken TVs and the strap issue, I was referring to a comment on page one about repetitive stress from using the controller. I still think it's a good point, if I can sue Nintendo for repetitive stress from a game controller (forget about the strap) why can't I sue Wilson for throwing a football?
For clarity, I personally don't wanna sue anybody.- Bottom

The Legal Eagle that goes Wiiiiiiiii
No, Birdman71 , underthe Wilson football theory, you cannot sue, because you can foresee that such a thing can happen ,and there is NO domino effect to it or a cahin of events that will take place as soon as that ball leaves your hand, as it is forseeable that an injury can be made ,and therefore it is not the fault of the football ,but rather the person throwing the football. Since Nintendo could forsee that the controler could fly out of someone's hands, and has provided straps, then they have covered up any negligence on their behalf :W But if the straps are not strong enough to withold an average gamer ,then they could potentially be sued if the strap is not up to par, and that would be under Manufacturer defect without negligence, as it was not forseeable ,therefore not a tort crime!! Does that answer some of your inquiries :E
Now Chris, I have heard Kids also say I have to go Wii Wii too ,when they point at toilets!!! But Wii ,you are correct about those French kids!
Wiiiiiiiii gotta go Now :W
Cheers- Bottom

heck birdman, I don't even know what I am saying, what am I saying? Really, these things can go both ways, I see your point about repetitive stress. Perhaps their answer would be you should run the ball half the plays, instead of throwing every down. ROFLMAO.Doug

I see on the BBC's frontpage that Nintendo is doing a "recall" and sending out new straps for all owners, but deny that anything is actually wrong or dangerous if they are used properly.
Smart move on their part if you ask me.~Nick- Bottom

With the class action lawsuit over defective Wiimote wrist straps apparently going full steam ahead despite Nintendo already addressing the main demand to replace the straps, the big N seems to have deemed it necessary to issue an official statement on the matter. Not surprisingly, they're not buying it, saying that they believe the lawsuit to be "completely without merit," according to GamesIndustry.biz. We're guessing that's also about the only thing they're going to be saying about it (publicly, at least) until the whole thing's over and done with.[Via Reg Hardware]- Bottom

im as anti lawyer/ lawsuit what have you as anyone but im really surprised at how people defend nintendo on the forums
i think they are at fault legaly and moraly. they screwed up and should pay for peoples busted tv
and the strap still looks too small
i wont buy one till proven otherwise
they should have offered to pay for any damaged tv due to the old straps imo
this isnt a case of trying to get rich, people had very expensive tvs distroyed by a using a defective product- Bottom
