Any of you heard of this amplifier? A friend is really cranking on me to try one..he is raving about it...any recommendations?

I haven't, but I'm sure that ThomasW or Jon Marsh has. Between the two of them you can find out anything audio...or atleast get lead in the proper direction.:B

i believe the MSRP is $999, but he got his discounted (don't know if it was a show or what) off about $200. The sound on his system is so improved and the imaging is unreal...I've never heard such a difference just by changing the amp alone! I was going to try the Outlaw but am now considering this one as well..

expensive line of equipment made in Germany and a German fellow over here got
the rights to import the boards, etc. and puts everthing together in
Indiana, I think. He offers a preamp too.

I own Rotel RB-1080 and my speakers are Magnepan 1.6qr.
Came accross this company Odyssey Audio. What they say is their amps have higher capacitance and lot of current and that makes them sound better. No idea what that means :roll:

I heard so many good things about the Odyssey Stratos amp that I've gone and bought one. I'll be getting the 2ch stereo Stratos with the cap upgrade.
I currently have the Rotel RB-1070. Has anyone heard the two before? What should I expect?

After many amps and much speaker and amp buying and selling, I have arrived at some personal conclusions. Looks like the B&W line is for me. And for many reasons.
