Notice how this previous house above has similar features to the last house I posted. Kind of a "little brother", taking out a few rooms, features like the porch-thingy, etc.
Here's another one:

Got distracted, started looking at more house plans. Found another one, this one even more feasible than the others. 2698 finished sq ft, but the basement would be able to add another 1200 sq ft or so. It's amazing what they do with "only" 2698 sq ft here, each bedroom with a private bath, walk-in closet, etc. HUGE library/sitting area for master suite with morning kitchen area, etc. Just awesome for a "farmhouse" style.

Hi Chris
This is a link to the golden trapagon:
Cardas produces a variety of products specifically for turntables, including our Myrtle Heart Cartridge, DIN plugs, cartridge clips, tonearm wire, and headshell leads. And of course our famous Frequency Sweep & Burn-in LP.
This would be my main HT and listening room.- Bottom

Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh, the golden room ratio! Gotcha.
Very interesting! I actually didn't know about the concept of the Golden Trapagon, I only knew of the room ratios for a rectangular room. I wonder what the mathematics are for the trapagon.
I also didn't know that the front and back walls in the proper ratio design become "Golden rectangles". Now that IS a very interesting concept in mathematics, so that fascinates me that the ratios produce this effect.
Very, very interesting. Thanks so much for posting!

Yes, it certainly would take some engineering. The simplest way to do it would be to have the floor flat and level, and then have the side walls and roof all slope in towards the front wall. I don't know, but I'm guessing that wouldn't be excessively hard to do. It seems to make that design perfect, though, you would have to have the floor slope up an equal amount that the ceiling sloped down. As far as a design for the room, though, that wouldn't really be all that great, having a slope to your floor.

by Dustin BIt's taken over 6 months, but after a few more sheets of drywall go up in my new detached garage behind the house, the next item on the list of renos for the house I bought last June is the dedicated theater room. It presents a bit of a challenge in what I want to accomplish.
Here is...-
