    Teenager repellant

Brit has developed near-ultrasonic device which so annoys loitering teens they leave:

does it work for sure with 20 year olds? If my daughter gets to bad, may have to use that as my last resort to get her to move to her Mom's.

I remember one day when visting home from college that I heard a really high picthed frequency in my parents house that was driving me nuts. After checking around the house it was my dad's new cell phone charger - when plugged in but without the phone attached, it would emit a piercing high pitched sound. Neither my parents nor my brother could hear it, but it was awful to me. Since then, everytime I visit my parents, it is one of the first things I notice when I walk in the door - if I hear it, I hunt out that damn charger and unplug it right away.

The Times has the article locked down now, and it's pay-to-read only. Did anyone grab the contents?

In The Netherlands they use street organs (small portable versions of the big ones) to chage loitering teens away. Have to say they play pretty obnocious 'music'. They normaly go around asking people for money while they do there rounds, I think most people just pay them to be sure they leave quickly!

Hate the NYT. The internet naturally routes around pay-for-news sites, however, like all other types of damage:

                      That's EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS.

A drum of toxic chemicals falls into a pond hear a spider farm, well you can guess what happens next. Story is pretty lean, but basically it's about a small town trying to survive an attack from giant spiders.

I rented this even though I had the feeling it was a teen film. Well it isn't. It's about teens, but very adult in nature. It's based on a true story, and believe me, my hair stood up on the back of my neck watching the events unfold on this disc. There's naked bodies, drugs, and some darn good acting...

                      Flipped a nice little film
                      by George Bellefontaine
Rob Reiner wrote and directed this film ( based on a novel by Wendelin Van Draanen ). It is a somewhat sentimental coming of age film starring Callan McAuliffe and Madeline Carroll as the teenagers who come together as pre-teens, fall apart as teens and come together again. Supporting cast includes...

Hi - I know many of you are using B&Ws with your Rotels but I would lke to ask if there'e anyone running Mission speakers (particularly the 78 series) or KEF's Q-series (especially the Q5 or Q7).

Any responses would be most helpful as I'm considering getting new speakers among these...
