Just concluded the above in Johannesburg. I guess a very small scale of the vegas show.
Some great systems on show.
Started in one room and every room after was just a let down.
Went to the Vivid Audio room where they demoed the K1 and the V1 speakers with dCs and Halcro amplification.
I must say this is the closest I have heard, to live music.
The speakers are designed by Lawrence Dickie(who designed the original snail nautilus).
If you haven't heard them go and listen. The technology in them is incredible.
Next up was the room with Viola labs and Audioresearch with JM Labs. Very nice.
I listened to the 800D being driven by the Classe Omega's with a Mark Levinson 326 pre amp. and a SME turntable. I was not as impressed as the Vivids.
Like I say I should not have started with the Vivids.
Any other resident South Africans went to the show?
You guys elsewhere, listen to the Vivid Audio speakers.
