    Blue-Ray Player

I saw my first Blue-Ray player today at the ABC-Disney HD meeting in Burbank California.

It is a Japanese market product so it's 1080i not 1080p (Darn!)

in fact 720P looks better than what the Blue-Ray player is putting out... However it is generation #1...

I'll post a photo (top secret) tomorrow

          Here we are...

Sorry for the "top secret" photo delays, I got a bit side tracked with some other projects.

I have a few more shots if you're interested, I had to move pretty fast, so they are not staged well.

                      back panel (DVI)

DVI was the only encryption safe connection

I guess their not audiophiles at Disney. Look at those cheap audio wires connected to the unit!

God its ugly.... just a prototype I guess.

Those 2 fans at the rear are a bit of a worry too... looks like it might have a bit of an overheating problem... never a good thing for electronics.

It's good to see something Blu-Ray in real-life. :T To me, that's the first concrete evidence this is more than just "talk". I do hope they get someone other than the recently laid off Oldsmobile designers to style the production units.

And, why oh why IS IT SILVER? Aughhhhhh. :gah:
