ONKYO - "Video1 IN" not functioning

    ONKYO Reciver

When I try to connect a "svideo source" to the video1 input and then select the video1 selector button on the front, the source is NOT comming through to the TV, (I have the video1 OUT going to the TV)...

When I use that same "svideo source" and plug it into the video2 input and then select the video2 selector button on the front, the source DOES come through.

    Any ideas?

Is there anything I am missing?

Hi Stephane, welcome to The Guide. :welcome:

    A couple of things:

Do you have a component cable hooked up to Video1 also? That can cause the switch to ignore the S-Video cable.

Have you tried using the remote to select the Video1 output? Or can you do that from the remote? Possibly the button for Video1 on the receiver's face is faulty and using the remote could enable it.

As far as I know (with my Onkyo) you need to go into the OSD menu and assign the audio and/or the VIDEO type input for each in/output. If you check, your Video 1 may not even is assigned! Check it out.
