In terms of audio quality for DVD movies and CDs, is there a difference within the DVD player itslef - I guess one is digital, the other analog>

Also, what's the best DVD player out there in the $2,000 or under market in terms of sound quality for DVDs and CDs (yes that's right, not PQ).

In this month's The Perfect Vision magazine, there's a DVD/universal player shootout/recommendation. They are very high on the Denon 2200 (MSRP $630 US), which surprisingly surpassed the 2900 in audio performance. Also, they gave kudos to Yamaha's DVD-S2300 (MSRP $999) for being good at standard CD, SACD and DVD-A - it's not the best at anything, but very good with all three categories.
