      Rookie Dumb Questions
      by ColoradoTom
Ok, so here I am one of the noobs, and let us postulate that Jon creates a final design for the M12ta and decides to use Accuton units. My question is this, in this scenario I will be spending nearly $1000.00 US on two tweeters and two midrange drivers :E . Since I’m fairly new at this I don’t have...

Recently thought I'd reward myself with some gooooood sound for a 2-channel setup and after some reading settled for Classe and B&W. I now have 804S (bought used) and Classe CP 800 and CA 2300. However, I'm not too impressed with the sound quality. Not sure if I'm tuning it properly or not. Is there...

      Passive Radiator

A passive radiator, often shortened to simply 'PR', is a component used in loudspeaker and subwoofer design to enhance bass performance. It is a type of driver without a voice coil and magnet structure but has a diaphragm and suspension that moves in response to changes in air pressure inside the enclosure. A passive radiator is located within the same volume as the driver it is supplementing, but could be placed on any side of the cabinet. When the active driver moves...

Cube Cubed - A Passive Radiator Build
      by 123Toid
I have always loved passive radiators, so I thought I would finally do a build log along with all the parts needed. Thanks to Parts Express, I am able to bring one of these Passive Radiator Builds to life. My goal was to make a small subwoofer that would still have high spl, for a smaller room all...

DIY Bench Testing Commercial components Update and planning
      by JonMarsh
This is just a "utility" thread to appraise folks that mostly hang out in Mission Possible about bench testing of commercial components that may or may not be of interest, posted in "Audio Hideout" and "Digital Audio".

A few components have been tested and...
