    Oppo BDP-95

    Any opinions out there on this unit or members who own it? I currently have a pioneer elite 23fd and I'm thinking about upgrading to this unit or possibly the marantz ud8004. Any thoughts or recommendations welcomed.

      The analog out's from the BDP-95 are supposed to be state of the art!. If you are going to spin audio cd's with this unit then it's definitely your baby!. If you use your processor or receiver for decoding, then you can save money by buying the BDP-93.

      I have no experience with the BDP-95 but I do own an Oppo dvd player that blows me away everytime I watch a dvd. It's upscaling to 1080P produces a picture that is scarily close to BD and HDTV quality !!.

          Oppo says it will be introducing a new lower priced blu-ray player in January 2010. Since I have no use for all the extra features of the 83, I will be eager to see what this lower priced unit has to offer. They will have to cut out many features. Just hope they don't take away the Anchor Bay chip....
