PS3 and wav files

    PS3 and wav files

    I have read in several places that the PS3 can play wav files with no problem. Also in the audio setup in the PS3 I can pick 24 bit 176.4 kHz... so what am I doing wrong here. I download the tracks from the link in Thomas's post and using Nero burn them to a CD as .wav audio files, but when I try to play them in the PS3 is says "this data type is unsupported"

    edit: I'm outputting via optical not HDMI if that makes a difference.

    Can anyone help?
