    Audio 7.1 question

I have a parasound preamp with one set of 7.1 analog inputs (no HDMI). It is currently used with my DVD-A player. Now I am going to buy a blu-ray player and need to use the 7.1 analog connection for that too. Would the sound be degraded significantly by just using Y adapters so each input can be connected to both the DVD-A and the blu-ray? Or would it be "much" better to buy an audio switcher like the Zektor mas7.1?
    Thanks!

YES, to my knowledge, you can't use y-plugs to hook two sources to one input. You can only split an output.

Sorry, unless I'm dramatically wrong, (which is always possible) you'll need a nice switch--the Zektor works great, everyone says.

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.
